A Wednesday, July 2nd afternoon’s worth of photos with associated commentary and reflection
That word reflection is actually fraudulent
The above photo was taken at 1:35 PM. I had just retuned from having lunch with my wife Jenny. Son Tony didn’t accompany us.
There is a Tim Horton’s at the Hui Shan Wanda. In the photo above, as well, is an AKIC who is in the process of checking the response to his video going viral on WeChat.
Notice the numbers in the lower part of the video. Also, notice the great use of blue in the video. My beard looks blue. The appeal of this video must be my looking like a Papa Smurf dispensing wisdom.
The video also gained me followers. I now have 500.
The sign says that Tim Horton’s was established in 1964. AK was established that year as well.
Above is a traffic jam on the road that runs in front of the building containing Jenny’s office, I took this photo as I was walking to my car which was parked in a underground lot across the street from the building; not in the lot under the building. It’s a four minute extra walk to get to where I parked, but it saves me the aggravation of having to deal with this traffic jam. It seems to me that the average local would put up with the traffic congestion if it meant being near to the entrance. I won’t.
I went to the old apartment to pick up a suitcase in which I will pack my clothing for the flight to Canada. The view above is of the guard shack and government building across from our old apartment building.
I went to the canal side park (it can be seen at the top of the 27th floor standard view photo). I wanted to check out the boat train.
REFLECTION. The scheme of works and documents at my last school used this word a lot. Students were asked to reflect on their; teachers were asked to reflect on their teaching. Reflection is self-assessment which is self-criticism and thus seems sinister — a heretical use of the word confession.
